The Corrèze is also a land of local lords and troubadours.

Visit the Merle Towers on their rocky spur or the ruins of the Fortresse of Ventadour and it's easy to imagine a medieval minstrel, instrument in hand, strolling through the castle.
Our département is also home to myriad places with an overriding sense of history where crenellated towers, keeps and bartizans bear witness to the chivalrous spirit of the Corrèze.

You can even visit the Medieval farms, completely reconstructed farms from the Middle Ages, with their walls made from cob, thatched roofs and old tools and furniture.
