Pompadour, the historic capital of the world of horses on the 'Richard Coeur de Lion' route, is proud of its caste, its racecourse and its national stud. Signposted footpaths for short-distance walks and fitness trail start from the gîtes. Outdoor table tennis table, fishing in the lake, 500 metres away, is free. In the area: Lake for fishing (permit free) and a picnic area in the national forest (500 metres away). In Pompadour: cycle hire and mountain biking, racing and entertainments at the racecourse.
