The 17 roms of the Labenche Muséum ("Musée de France") are housed in an exceptional building of the Rebirth (Historical Monument). The collection of this art and hitory museum testify to the rich history, archeology and patrimony from Brive and its region, from Prehistory to the middle of the XXth century.This establishment notably exhibits a beautiful collection of tapestries from Mortlake andAubusson and the piano of Claude Debussy. It also owns a very important prehistorical collection. The museum organises every year various temporary exhibitions and events and takes part in the national cultural events (European Museums'Night, National Archeology's Days, National Architecture's days).
