Built in the 16C, this house owes its name to a decorative detail in its stonework - a mermaid holding a comb in one hand and mirror in the other. This typical Collonges house displays collections dedicated to local crafts and traditions, tools, furniture, and documents dating bacck to the 19th and 20th centuries. Main points of interest:are : - in the basement : Archaeology and local geology - on the 1st floor: a permanent exhibition of "Appoline's room", a laundress ibterior in the 19th century, and a temporary exhibition named : "1902-1913, Collonges through 27 ancien postcards", - on the ground floor, at the reception office : information desk and documents published by the Society of Friends of Collonges.
