The Meyssac fault and stone discovery centre

This venue is dedicated to local geology. Thanks to its models, educational signs, and rock and fossil samples on display, take a trip back to the Permian era (over 250 million years ago) and to the bottom of the sea during the Jurassic era (about 180 million years ago). These elements help visitors to understand Meyssac’s geological fault and its impact on the landscape, flora and architecture. The centre is located near the town’s function room (“salle des fêtes”) and is open every day from 10am to 6pm (free).
