Located in the heart of the Vézère gorges, the Highlands cow farm was launched in 2019 with a strong desire to combine agriculture and respect for the environment. This hardy breed, originally from Scotland, is perfectly suited to eco-grazing, an extensive farming method that preserves biodiversity, limits undergrowth and promotes the natural balance of the soil.
Robust, docile and self-sufficient, these cattle are ideally suited to the landscapes of Correze, enhancing the value of land that is often difficult to access, while actively contributing to the ecological management of the environment. The farm is deeply committed to improving the breed, and participated in the creation of a National Herd Book, now a selection body recognized by the French Ministry of Agriculture.
