Le Parc naturel régional de Millevaches et ses 14 sites labellisés Natura 2000

The Regional Nature Park (PNR) boasts thousands of springs and rivers (Vézère, Creuse, Corrèze, Vienne...), and is home to remarkable natural environments that alternate between peat bogs, moors, forests and meadows. One example is the Longeyroux peat bog, an exceptional reservoir of biodiversity.

The PNR is home to unique and fragile plant and animal species, including otters, pearl mussels, wetland whitethroats, linnets, short-toed eagles and viviparous lizards...

It's also a stopover for migratory birds. There are 12 species of birds, including the red-backed shrike, the European nightjar, the woodlark, the grey crane?

The flora offers great diversity: heather moorland, sphagnum moss and drosera are just a few examples. Dense deciduous and coniferous forests create a heterogeneous landscape. An astonishing discovery not to be missed.
