A local history museum covering the period from protohistory to the 20C, with particular emphasis on the vital role of roads and the Dordogne river over the centuries. Themed panels and showcases introduce the visitor to the rich archaeological finds discovered at Le Puy du Tour and the Villa du Longour, as well as medieval furniture and coins. A documentary film relates the history of shipping on the Dordogne and looks at the construction techniques used to build a typical gabare boat. .
