
Abbaye Saint-André - Centre d'Art Contemporain
This contemporary art museum sits in the south wing and tower of a former Benedictine Monastery in the
heart of the historic center of Meymac. It has an exhibition area of ¿¿950 m2 spread over five levels.
Its mission is to promote and disseminate contemporary works, mainly in the field of visual arts. After its first exhibition in 1979, the Center welcomed many artists and celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2019. It holds temporary exhibitions.
The program alternates between thematic exhibitions (to capture a contemporary artistic situation in its entirety) and monographic exhibitions (to deepen the knowledge of a work of young up and coming young artists.
These exhibitions include both internationally renowned artists and emerging artists.
