La Maison du Cabas is housed in a large, handsome 18th-century residence, formerly a horse-drawn gendarmerie under Napoleon III, whose roof has recently been restored in Travassac slate.
It houses workshops for the manufacture of cabas, baskets made from woven straw, and a museographic center which, thanks to a particularly meticulous scenography and graphic design, perpetuates the memory of the cabas and restores its letters of nobility.
Visit accompanied by an audioguide (text available in French or English).
Workshops on Friday evenings from 8pm to 10pm.
